The Full Story
Fatal Distraction Podcast
Having been friends since 2015 and both being avid Podcast listeners, Janet and Miranda wanted to break into the podcasting scene amidst the COVID-19 pandemic when mental health was low but creativity and social need was high. After some "structuring" and discussion, Janet and Miranda hit the mics and started recording. What was initially meant to be a fun getaway without being able to actually get away, has since turned into a weekly (or twice a week) show where they feature stories of true crime, health of all sorts, spooky stories, history, and more!

Every episode, we get together and have a couple of drinks, and we each bring a story to share about something that interests us. Neither one of us knows what the other one is going to bring to share, so it's always a surprise. In addition we also cover a Florida Man of the Week as a palette cleanser between stories. Miranda
About Me: Hi there! My name is Miranda! By day I'm a counselor, and by night I'm a burlesque dancer, published pin up model and I do some side show acts as well. I also make and sell horror themed goodies like bath bombs, soaps, sprays, jewelry, glasses/mugs and more! In addition, I'm a mom of 2, and I'm engaged to my high school sweetheart (granted there was a brief 11 year break between then and now.)

Top 3 Favorite Podcasts: My absolute favorite is The Last Podcast on the Left, closely followed by Seven Deadly Sinners, and of course I can't forget my girl Cherry who does The Unconventional Gal: Forging Your Own Path.

Hobbies: Well- I LOVE playing video games- Xbox mostly, collecting mid century modern furniture and housewares, doing makeup and hair, crafting and painting, photography, and I'm a big fan of reading true crime books! I'm a huge horror nerd with a vast collection of horror memorabilia and have frequented many comic cons and horror conventions, and have met many a celebrity in my day.

Favorite Quote: "This war ship is sinking and I still believe in anchors." This line from a listener song resonates with me so much that I even got it tattooed on my chest! No matter how shitty things get, always keep afloat and believe in your anchor.
